EU Competition TOGETHER
The Guldusi embroidery program has been running since 2004. Many people contribute to its continued existence and success. From the embroidery produced in Afghanistan to its sale in Europe, there are many stages that must be overcome. After so many years, Guldusi owes its existence to a huge community of supporters who are involved in various ways out of solidarity.
Isn't that precisely what the world needs right now: to recognize others and support them in their time of need?
Together, we can keep Guldusi going, and that's why the Europe-wide competition is called "Together." In "Together," the embroidery serves as the inspiring starting point for a collective artwork.
Competition Conditions
The artwork must be created by at least three (3) participants; there is no upper limit. At least as many embroidery pieces as the number of participants will be incorporated. There is no prescribed theme; however, the chosen theme should be recognizable. This time there are no set dimensions, the only restriction being that the finished piece cannot exceed 2 meters in height. All textile techniques are accepted, whether done by hand or machine. The deadline for submissions is the end of May 2027, and the first presentation is scheduled for September 2027 at the European Patchwork Meeting in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, Alsace, France.
We hope that as many women as possible (and of course men too) will take on this challenge and create an exciting exhibition.
